Meet The Author: Astrid Cole
Astrid Cole discovered her passion for writing in high school, inspired by a fun collaboration on a vampire novel during the Twilight craze of 2009. While pursuing medical school at Miami-Dade College, she penned science fiction thrillers in her spare time. Eventually realizing medicine wasn’t her path, Astrid switched gears, earning an English degree at Florida International University, where she fell in love with literature and found a favorite poet in Edmund Spenser (sorry, Shakespeare!).
In 2013, Astrid explored fitness, competing in a bodybuilding show (she placed third!) before focusing on running—completing a half-marathon in 2017—and powerlifting for fun. After earning her master’s in English Literature in 2021, she dove deeper into fantasy and sci-fi, reigniting her publishing dreams. Currently, she’s crafting the Diamond City trilogy and revisiting earlier works to share with the world.
